The tradition of Dia de Sant Jordi is that Spanish men buy a rose for their loved one and the women give their husbands a book. This is from the legend in which a man killed a dragon and came back with a rose for his loved one.
On the Ramblas there are a lot stalls located on Dia de Sant Jordi. You can buy books and roses there. There are also many music and dance events this day.
