Do you have your carnival costume ready yet? No?! Than you have 7 days left to do that! Sitges (approx. half hour by train from Barcelona) celebrates Carnival 2010 from the 11th of February until the 17th. A quarter million Europeans come to this city to party one week long!
Indians, cowboys, devils, angels, pirates… You can see them all!
The carnival festival begins the Thursday before Lent, with the arrival of Prince Carnival (El Rey de los Carnestoltes).
Sitges Carnival ends with the "burial of the sardine" on Wednesday.
Exciting parties and going out all night long! There are two nightly parades. On Sunday in the ´Ria de la Disbauxa´ and on Tuesday in the ´Rua de l´Extermini.´
